my monitor two cents,

i won a pair of yamaha HS 80ms off ebay a few months back.

before i bought them, i did a shoot out in the music store with a huge
selection of other speakers .some other brands were way more expensive , some way
cheaper, yet the yamaha hs 80s always sounded the best in comparrison to
the others.
they sound amazing at low volumes AND when pushed.
i use them in my mini P3 set up . cs-80 with kenton midi, tee bee MKIII ,
minimoog, tr -606 syncd to the p3, tr -909, delta lab effectron II delay
into a mini roland 16e rack mixer. i never liked ns 10's much. these
Hs80ms just sound good period .self powered and reasonably priced.

so my vote goes to the yamahas

cheers HAPPY 2007
