Global 're-sync'

Global 're-sync'

2007-01-02 by niels_jitterbug

Hi,

I've read the manual diagonally, but couldn't find an option that lets
you restart a complete sequence manually when the sequencer is running
in Play mode. I thought maybe all tracks would restart from the
beginning everytime I pressed Run or Func+Run ? It is the same feature
as Sync when in Pattern Edit, except it is applied to alll tracks in
Play mode. I think this can be an interesting feature in a live
situation. Have I overlooked it ?

I wish you all a very musical 2007

The re-sync function on FUNC+RUN is for slaved devices running from MIDI
clock, not the internal sequences.
You can re-sync internal patterns on the next GBar reset using the 'arm'
function in the current beta.
Hold STEP MODE, then press the track keys for active tracks you want to
restart.
Armed tracks will flash until GBar loops.
If you want to instantaneously restart all tracks, you can hit STOP then RUN
in quick succession.
As long as RUN is held, it over-rides stop, so by overlapping the
keypresses, you can hit them in rapid succession quite easily.
You can also hold STOP while pressing and releasing RUN for a stuttering
start effect.
