I need to get a quote from my PCB suppliers to populate the boards.
Hopefully I'll get a price by the end of the week.
Final price could be around 50 ukp + VAT, or $100 outside the EU if I have
to stuff them myself, but may well be less, just depends on the cost of
sub-contract stuffing.
There will be a discount for multiple purchases, though for fairness that
will be limited to multiple P3 owners.

Hi Colin

Will there be a DIY PCB option where we source the parts and build the
expansion ourselves rather than having them stuffed by an external party?

cheers

I don't know yet. There may be some surface mount logic used, which would
rule out kits.
There's also much the same effort involved in handling ordering, payment,
packing and shipping for a kit as for a complete board, so there may not be
much saving.
The first layout for the expansion board didn't lend itself to automated
stuffing, so it needs a bit of a redesign.
