Analogue-sequencer

Hello,everybody i finish my first P3 last night ,after 4
months..looking for a kit,components shaeffer front panel..it is very
beautiful ;-)
but i 've got some little problems  with ,led of fonction switch board
,i think there are in the wrong way and   the tempo and data pots no
working,on the diy page it seems there is some doubt about theses
connections ..is it the same for the 2 pots?

when i switch on the P3 :

check the version software.. 3.95 ;is it good version ?

each time ask me to choice 6X8 or the 2 others possibilities ;is it
normal it don't save in memory ,the first time that i 've choosen ? we
are some new users and happy  and hope to discover the P3 ..old users

The three pins of each connector wire straight to the 3 pins of the pot.
If you get the outer pins the wrong way round, you'll have a pot that works
in reverse, but it will still work.

All versions were good at the time, but that one is very old.
There is a bootloader update required before you can load a newer one
though.
You'll find that in the Yahoo files section, in the 'bootloader' folder.
Read the readme file first.
You just need the p3-bootloader-v3.1-T89 files, not the sysex update.

Sounds like your battery backup is not working.
Check the DS1210 is in the right way.
Put a multimeter on the RAM chips pin 28 and 14, and you should see battery
voltage while the power is off, 5 volts while it is on.

(i think i can change the tempo at any the time ;without function?

- pot tempo connections is good cause i 've connected it  on data
,check is ok..which CI control the tempo?C4,C5 are important for the
tempo?i don't have a capacitor test,build is easier than repair the
mistake(troubleshooting)for a the first projects..thanks for all;-)
ps/i am very exciting cause i begin a little to play,and learn with !!!

re  i am just print the main board shematic....to check connection and
voltage...mamaaaaamiaaaaaa!!!!

re,it's ok now an bad idc16 connection,i will try to load the last
software and bootloader, print the end of manual,"l'aventure
continue",in a few days i will begin to build a second one a 1.6
version thanks very much everybody ,and a special "chapeau bas" to

hi,is there somebody who has this file :  p3-bootloader-v3.1-T89.syx 
in .mid cause with my nuendo or my RM1X i cant load it....for bootload
a old version chip or perhaps a software for PC to do the job
..tranmit a .syx in my P3 1.4 version chip...thanks Boop's
