Pattern edit v3.

Pattern edit v3.

Probably been asked before so apols.

Can you jump to edit a pattern on a different track while leaving the
current pattern edits in place, without saving them?

Cheers.

No, sorry. When you leave editing of one pattern, you get the options to
save, go back or lose the changes -that's it. Guess you could save to
another part if you wanted to keep two versions of one pattern and
decide which you liked best later - any use?

Thanks, thought so. I'm presuming because memory is short, temporarily
saving all these variations "on the fly" is not practical.

'caus I'm now config'd 12x8x4 I'm a bit short on patterns-per-track.

I have managed to get P3Tools running though, so I suppose a sysex dump
would be one way of resurrecting patterns if needed.

Though that would not facilitate morphing back to the start pattern while
still playing.

Ah, it's more a V4 philosophy I've adopted. With V3 I had to be more
selective, which was probably a good thing.

Why not design a pattern that morphs automatically?

:)
