Probably been asked before so apols. Can you jump to edit a pattern on a different track while leaving the current pattern edits in place, without saving them? Cheers. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

When you leave editing of one pattern, you get the options to save, go back or lose the changes -that's it. Guess you could save to another part if you wanted to keep two versions of one pattern and decide which you liked best later - any use? -- Paul --- http://www.myspace.com/smokyfrog http://www.myspace.com/jointintelligencecommittee

Thanks, thought so. I'm presuming because memory is short, temporarily saving all these variations "on the fly" is not practical. 'caus I'm now config'd 12x8x4 I'm a bit short on patterns-per-track. I have managed to get P3Tools running though, so I suppose a sysex dump would be one way of resurrecting patterns if needed. Though that would not facilitate morphing back to the start pattern while still playing.

Ah, it's more a V4 philosophy I've adopted. With V3 I had to be more selective, which was probably a good thing. > Though that would not facilitate morphing back to the start pattern while > still playing. Why not design a pattern that morphs automatically? :) -- Paul --- http://www.myspace.com/smokyfrog http://www.myspace.com/jointintelligencecommittee
