Wiring for a Winstar WH1602A-TMI-JTV LCD with neg voltage generator on board

I recently got a couple of WH1602A-TMI-JTV blue on white lcds locally as i needed my P3 up and running in a hurry. The problem i found with these were that they have a negative voltage generator on board for the LCD backlight...seems this is becoming standard on alot of lcd's now. I ended up cutting pins 15 and 16 on the P3 LCD adapter so they did not connect to the lcd and i then wired those pins from the P3 connector to the A and K pads on the right side of the lcd so the P3 still supplied the backlight voltage and controlled the contrast.
