Hello I'm quiet new to the P3 and have a question. I set up the mixer function in the user config but it doesn't work in my set up. Is there something I'm missing in the configuration? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced. Yves

The knobs work in a pass-thru mode - you have to pass the stored value before it becomes live and starts sending new values. That's to stop you having sudden jumps in level when you move the knobs in edit mode, and come back to play mode to adjust something. Could that be it ? When you move a knob, if it isn't live, you'll see the changing current position and the stored value on the display. Once it starts transmitting, there should only be one number. If that isn't it, next step is to plug the MIDI out cable into something that will let you look at the data coming from P3 to see whether it's not sending, or your other gear is just not listening. Hi Colin Thank you. I'm only in play mode. The upper knobs when moved shows -> "Kn 1-16U: current value_0-127" The note knobs when moved shows -> "Kn 1-16L: current value_0-127" Sometimes both show the "stored value" << "current value" Until now there are 2 devices connected to the P3. One is a JoMoX XBase09 and the other is a Yamaha SY77, but neither of them are reacting to the mixer knobs. I will try to figure out if P3 is not sending Midi data or if the gear is just don't listening. Best regards. ¥ --- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, "Colin Fraser" <colin@...> wrote:

Hi again I checked and apparently P3 is not sending Midi data from these knobs. Mixer mode is of course set to "on" and it's sending also Midi notes etc. Can it be that it has something to do with the Aux? As I've read that some Aux can also be manipulated by these knobs in play mode. But I don't used them in every track, so it doesn't make sense. Any other suggestions? Best regards. ¥ --- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, "yvesjates05" <yvesjates05@...> wrote:

Oh dear! You are right!! Sorry for bothering, stupid me. Thank you. The volume knobs are working fine now for the synth tracks but not yet for the drum machine. The pan knobs are not working for both. Best. ¥ --- In analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com, Paul Nagle <softroom@...> wrote:

No bother at all, enjoy. :) I think the idea was that putting the mixer on the right hand side left those above the tracks free for aux event-type stuff. -- Paul --- http://www.softroom.co.uk http://www.youtube.com/WilyEPeyote
