Cirklon update

Cirklon update

2011-04-17 by sequentix

Folks waiting on Cirklon orders,

I've received the first batch of populated boards from the factory this week.
The remainder of the boards should be with me next week, so assembly and shipping can start very soon.
There has been a bit of a mix up with one of the boards, but that works out in our favour :-)
The USB interface board in Cirklon was designed to be populated in two different ways - either with basic ESD protection, or with a new AD USB isolator that gives full electrical isolation.
I hadn't been able to source the AD chip to test, and it was quite a bit more expensive than the basic part, so I ordered the boards in the basic config.
The factory have managed to source and install the wrong chip, so it looks like we get the full isolation as a bonus.
A few other components need to be switched, but that should only take a few hours for the run.

It's going to take a little while to get through the order list.
I'll be doing the final assembly and testing of each unit myself, so please bear with us. Units will be despatched in the order they were purchased.
More detailed individual order updates will be emailed soon, now that my secretary is back from Easter break.

Best regards,
Colin Fraser

Thanks for the update Colin.

Happy to be patient to ensure you personally quality-control each unit. :)

Hi Colin,

I orderded the CV I/O option. I'd like the rackmount version. Should send and email to Sequentix with the request?

Thanks,

T
