P3 for sale (soon)

P3 for sale (soon)

2013-09-30 by jesús gollonet bailén

Hi all!
I have a P3 which would get more use in other hands and I'm planning to sell it.
Prebuilt, no wooden ends. The screen was replaced 3 years ago.
It's in perfect aesthetic and working condition except for 2 keys (13, 14) which need extra pressure to function. I need to have a look and see if I can fix them but it's taking me forever so I'm putting it out there, as maybe someone in this list can take care of that himself and save a bit of money.
If you're interested make me an offer by email. I can send pictures (or video if needed) later this week.
I'm in Amsterdam in case anyone is around and wants to have a look.
Based on the offers I get I'll decide if I sell it straight away or put it up on ebay.
Thanks a lot,
j

Hi Jesus. I had the same problem with my P3 where a key required extra pressure to operate. I asked Colin about failure rates and replacements, and he informed me that he had never heard of a key switch malfunctioning, and that they are pretty tough. So I removed the key switch with intent to replace, when i found that one pin was bent under the switch... thus the intermittent contact. I un-bent the pin and it has worked perfectly ever since.

Hi Keith. Thank you so much for your indications. The fix seems easy enough so I'll have a look over the weekend.
Cheers,
j
