Airflow is the last thing you want. It'll play havoc on the VCO tracking. The parts used in modern modular equipment are standard commercial grade, which means they are good in operating environments of up to 85 degrees C / 185 degrees F. That's only 30 degrees F under the boiling temp. of water.
