heating issues

2008-05-16 by Monroe Eskew

Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone has ever encountered overheating issues with a
modular synth, especially Integrator. Wondering whether I should try to
allow airflow to prevent overheating.

Thanks,
Monroe

Airflow is the last thing you want. It'll play havoc on the VCO
tracking. The parts used in modern modular equipment are standard
commercial grade, which means they are good in operating environments
of up to 85 degrees C / 185 degrees F. That's only 30 degrees F under
the boiling temp. of water. I doubt it's even close to that
temperature in there.

hope this helps,
