Mults was: Re: Hi People

2003-04-02 by Peter Grenader

I've got a better one!

I've made small enclosures to mount my mults in separately. They basically
form-fit the mult modules. Each is covered with a soft felt material. Why
did I do this? I just lay them where I need them depending on the patch -
they aren't hard mounted in my panel and more important, don't rob me of any
precious panel space!

works great!

Since you complained about a lack of mults, I thought I'd share a
trick to overcome this problem (although it may seem a bit obvious:

MOVE-A-MULTS

Back in the 60s, Moog manufactured move-a-mults, which were basically
one phone plug wired attached to 2 phone jacks.

Us AS & Doepfer users can get the same result by bying "Y" adapters
and using them this way. I buy cheap Y adapters from Radio Shack for
about a buck. Plug the plug into your jack, and you now have two
jacks. You need to make sure you get a mono Y adapter, not one of
the stereo splitters. And if you buy from Radio Shack, make sure it
is 1/8". they also sell gold plated splitters that are some other
wierd size.

Does anybody else do this?
