Yes, The RS8000 is a good modular. No, the Doepfer is not less "fat and aggressive" than the AS. Yes, the RS8000 can produce "that type of sound". No, the Arp 2500 isn't fatter-sounding than the AS or Doepfer. No, none of the above necessarily have to sound "fat and aggressive" -- they can also sound thin or soft or brittle or rubbery. No, none of the above will sound like much of anything until you spend a good deal of time with them getting to know them.
