Going at it one step at a time (just checked this on my machine) 1. do Clock settings/Sync to Clock/Synchronise 2. do Clock settings/Clock source trig1 3. feed your square wave (or whatever) into trig 1 4. you should now see a * in the top right hand corner; if you don't may need to play with the 'square wave' (eg amplitude) but worked fine on mine straight off an lfo (although I usually use triggers myself) 5. now if you check the BPM it should be working fine The non-moving delay time may be due to you choosing "sync to 1/3" (or whatever fraction) which is the next setting along from "synchronise" within the "sync to clock" menu? Actually a great boon for delays that dont sound like someone falling down the stairs when there is any kind of beat in the material (not that that doesn't have its place in modern music too ;) but you have to go into this menu to move the delay rather than in "show delay time" I seem to remember Hope that works for you :-j --- In analogue_systems@yahoogroups.com, Bakis Sirros <synth_freak_2000@y...> wrote: > hi list, > could someone tell me what do i have to do to read > ther BPM in the lcd of the rs290???i connect a square > lfo out to the trigger 1 input of the rs290 and i go > to the "show bpm" pager, but all i see is the message > "waiting for clock"..... > also, when i sync the delay time to trigger 1 or > 2,despite the changes that i make in the sync > settings(f.e.,lock to 1/3,etc...)the delay time seems > the same in the lcd,why is that? > help anyone? > thanks, > bakis. > > > > ===== > synthfreak(parallel worlds) > athens-greece > [Doepfer_a100] group owner > > __________________________________ > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
