I can understand that. This was a financial stretch for me too. The modules come without rack or power supply. You dont HAVE to get the AS one. Here is a link to the RS15 http://bigcitymusic.com/product.asp?cat=New&pid=1000207 It is $475. Way too much to my thinking. You can get the RS10... which is what I got. It holds fewer modules and still costs something like $350. Still very high priced. Take a look at the picture of the rs15. The picture for the rs10 is broken. You can see the power supply in the back of it. Does this answer you? I also made a module from a kit and mounted it in it... but I dont use it right now. YOu still need something to put the rack IN. I dont have anything. It just sits on a pile of books. I have a performance at my wife's church in a month or so, and I need to come up with something that looks a little nicer, yet doesnt cost too much! uelogy <uelogy@hotmail.com> wrote: ok, hmmm confusing... i am thinking of getting the French connection and 2 vco's and a vca, whould i need to get a rack power supply you spoke of... what exactly is a rack supply, i hadnt heard of them, not mentioned on the site. i would then use my own effects for reverb ie: my kaoss pad etc... so yea.. sorry to keep hassling ya, im just young with little cash so im really want to know what im doing. --- In analogue_systems@yahoogroups.com, Bryan Lowe <kingfm@y...> wrote: > When I bought the modules through Big City I think the name is, I was going to use a medical power supply that was affordable. He said I could but was really warning me against it... so I ended up buying the rack and supply. Sorta glad I did.
