Analogue systems

I am at work now, but will gladly post my patches this evening Seattle time.   I bought a Onedes Martenot study book written by Ms. Loriod.  It gives a block diagram of the original Ondes.  it shows some of the wave forms.  I will try to scan a copy of that page for you.  As I recall, it starts with a saw wave and modifies that.  
 
I use the revereb unit for a couple of reasons.
 
First, the original Ondes had two resonating speakers.  One with a gong and the other with resonating strings somewhat along the lines of a sitar I guess.  If you have any recordings of the Ondes you can hear those changes.  When I have asked others with more experience about how to recreate those sounds with modules nobody responded.  When combined with my fiscal resources, or lack of resources, my options were limited.
 
There was also a concert version of the speaker which used reverb springs in the amp since the accoustic nature of the speakers was so quiet.
 
I have also found that an electronic keyboard like this has only volume and tempo to express the emotion and feeling of the piece.  With a cello, for example, you can also vary the pressure on the bow.  Doing so gives the instrument a totally different sound.  Even a french horn, my instrument, can change the nature of the sound with the hand in the bell, tongue technique and air force.  All of this can be done within one note.  With the reverb unit I use, the nature of the sound does change given the manipulation of the volume button in the left hand.  It allows me to shape a note with timbre and well as volume.   The nature of the sound changes if I give a slight kick in volume somewhere in the note.  The effect can be different depending where in the note you do it.  Don't expect too much because the effect is subtle, but I tried to do some of that in the sample I have online and at least I hear a difference.
