I understand is it a similar situation with doepfer? And to re-ask 
part of my question does anyone know of forums dedicated entirely to 
Asolutions and or doepfer?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
