No matter which you get, think about (here I go again with mods), adding
separate non-attenuated outs for each of the filters along with the gnged
attenuated one. Very nice addition and easy to impliment.

hi john,
buy the doepfer ;-)
it has almost DOUBLE the freq.bands of the AS.and it
has a very good sound!(though,i don't have the AS
fiterbank to compare their sound...)
as for build quality, both modulars seem very good to
me.
bakis.

Fixed Filter

2003-02-25 by jmaddocks1975 <jmaddocks1975@yahoo.co.uk>

Hi all,
I'm after buying a fixed filter but can't decide which one, after
noticing many doepfer and AS owners here I thought I'd ask you guys.
which do you prefer, the AS or the Doepfer fixed filer?
The doepfer one has more bands but I know the AS multimode filter is
loved by so many people I thought maybe there's has a better sound.
Filters are really down to personal taste, what some people hate
others love, but a few comments would help me decide.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
John.
