Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

I know this is probably an obvious question, but in my experience the
simplest solution is often the last one to be tried.

...have you checked to make sure that you're in the correct operating
mode?  (hold Edit and press store) as some of the operating modes
aren't as straightforward as one would expect them to be.
