I did some more tweaking with the BCR2000 last night. Tried every channel, used BC Manager to mess with the SysEx a little bit, and then for the final test, I reprogrammed it to send a mod wheel controller to the YS200... none of the above worked. It's my BCR2000 afterall. For some reason, it still works via USB, and I feel that I'm done with FM synthesis for a while anyway (at least until I can find a DX200 again), so I'm just going to sell the YS200 and get some more analogs. Thanks a ton for the help, though! --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "rpcfender" <rpcfender@...> wrote: > > Most sysex headers have a byte to ID the manufacturer, the device and > device ID, but it is really up to the manufacture what he/she wants to > put in the sysex message. > > If you had 2 TX81z with Midi going in one and through to the other, it > would be a good idea to be able to send sysex to one and not the other. > > Early sysex used the Midi channel in the device byte, then came the > device ID, then the common channel.
