Alessandro,

A couple of things come to mind...
1 why not run a midi cable that length.
http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.asp?m=1353338&mpage=1&key=Cable%
2CLengths\ufffd
has some discussion on length... now 100m is a long run!
Seems like what you need is some kind of repeater in the middle...
or have you considered some kind of wireless setup. A guy on that
thread mentioned M-audio's wireless midi... not so sure about that one.
Again, my thought is a cable much like a long xlr cable mentioned in
the above thread... hmm... I wonder if there is an amp like box for
mics. There must be...
Do you understand what I suggest?

This looks promising.
http://www.jlcooper.com/pages/mla.html
particularly the MLA-XLR MIDI Line Amplifier. Up to 1000feet using xlr
cable.
However, not cheap - http://www.midi-store.com/JL-Cooper-MLA-XLR-Midi-
Line-Amp-p-16685.html
However, maybe cheaper then the kiss thing.

Here is the thing...

also not cheap.

For the homebrewer... this sounds interesting but time to build..

These look pretty expensive.

Well, that is the end of my tale!
Good luck,
Kip
