Unfortunately, the InstallShield installer itself takes up about 3 MB
of the package.
In fact, I've found that the amount of overhead from the installer
depends on the version of InstallShield: until a few years back I used
a version from 1998: there the overhead was maybe just 1 MB, but some
users of my GS-10 Manager (which used that installer) complained about
installation problems under Windows XP, which is why I upgraded to
this newer InstallShield version.
I haven't made an in-depth study of this issue, but I don't think I
can bring down the overhead without removing support for Windows 98 or
so. (Part of the overhead might just be a big silly bitmap displayed
during installation...)

I don't know all the details of how the installation works, but in any
case on my computer (under Windows XP+SP2) it turns out that the
installation creates C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded
Installations\{D4D56B6B-B675-4437-BA83-B4E9DDAA8F12}\BC Manager
1.3.0.msi. (I have no idea if this big number ("GUID") is the same for
everyone.) This msi file is about 1 MB big, so there's part of your
answer.
(I found this location via RegEdit.exe, under the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{3E963B59-4490-4600-AB86-A19797138A0C}.)

Mark.
