The BCF only goes to Global mode in BC mode.
The emulations are complete in themselves and, as far as I know, won't
let you alter them once they are set, except for the global settings.

Go to BC mode (power on with button 33 (top left) pressed) and get
into global mode (EDIT + STORE) and change to S1 (or what ever Midi
mode you need) then power off.
Power on with button 37 (button 5 on the top row) pressed to get into
bHui mode.

Interestingly, if you change the midi mode and then forgot to press
EXIT to get out of global mode before you switch off (when you where
in BC mode) , the unit boots into BHui emulation but it also drops
into global mode as well so you can alter some global stuff. Pressing
EXIT gets you into bHui mode - ready to go.

Hope this helps
