Hey, Erik! I've sinced learned the proper way to send my .syx data to the BCF without losing it (It turns out I wasn't saving it at all, i now use BC manaager!) I have gotten this far: I have my generic remote setup in Cubase (BCF IN, BCF OUT - correct?). Now I see two major groups (the bottom containing a drop down menue which contains "VST 1-16", "VST 17-32", etc., etc. - QUESTION: Do these represent the 4 Encoder groups? I have imported an .xml file downloaded from Behringer for Cubase. It has 32 audio and 16 midi in it. However, I am now stuck. I loaded up a Cubase file to see how it would react, and the faders haven't moved at all. Furthermore, in the bottom half of the Generic Remote dashboard, I see all of my tracks repeatedly (Fader, Pan, Mute, Send), but not on top (controller information). Forgive me if I seem to miss what to you is probably an obvious point (I feel like the village idiot), but I do not understand how to use this now. It's all programmed correctly. Am I missing something else? I see that under device assignments, a pull down menu appears giving you a choice of "not assigned, command, mixer, midi mixer, etc...." for bank VST 1-16. Hm. Seems like i'm working it out, but I still can't grasp it all the way...lemme see...in VST 17-32 is my Battery 3 plugin (this makes sense). Lemme do a little more researching to form some coherent questions.... --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "Erik Hines" <sablerock@...> wrote: > > Hopefully I can help shed some light on things. > > 1) I don't know what exactly you're referring to with regards to the > power button, but in the case of the BCR 2000, each PRESET represents > a different mode or emulation.
