I use the usb for the fader model because when I'm going to mix it's a
big deal and have to get everything in order etc. So I know I'm going
to mix and I turn on the BCF before I open cubase. You have to have
the device running when you boot the program or the port won't be
there. The BCR however I leave on a legacy midi port because I use it
to adjust EQ's I never know when I want to use it and if it's on a
hardware port I can turn it on and don't have to reboot my program.
