Re: New Mod - BCF & BCR joined together

ok, some facts first:

The panels are made from 9mm thick MDF
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium-density_fibreboard

With a decent jigsaw both panels were cut simultaneous so they are
identical. After sanding I painted them with a water based primer. Then
different layers and mixes of silver, bronze, dark blue, black were
applied and sponged off to get a matching colour. Finally two coats of
water based acrylic varnish to protect the paint job.

To join the BC's together, the side panels are removed and also the top
controllers front (all non-destructive)
the bottom-controller rounded front panel has 2 small plastic support
lips (one on each side) I removed these (small metal saw works good)
but left the rest of the support strips intact so remounting the
original panels is no problem.

I have a pdf ready that contains 3 scans of a side panel; if you print
these at original size, stick them together and cut out the shape, you
should have a template (but please check the distance of the screws on
the actual devices against the template before cutting the wood).

None of back panel in and outputs are covered by the mod
BUT...remember to switch on the power of the bottom BC before mounting it.

I'm prepared to cut some sets. Maybe some formula like cut, sanded and
primed (finish it yourself). It might be hard to get the same result
with the paint job...
