I'm not sure whether the LENGTH as such is the problem here:
in the course of developing a BCN44 editor, last week I tried to make the BCN44 "learn" EXTREMELY short SysEx messages like F0 7F F7 or F0 F7, but even those failed, so I've started to suspect
that the BCN44 simply doesn't accept ANY SysEx messages (in
contradiction with a claim in the manual).
If anyone HAS succeeded in teaching the BCN44 SysEx messages,
please let me know.

By the way: I've been working very hard to finish the BCN44 editor
in recent days. I'm hoping to release the first version next week, so stay tuned...
