beginner's questions

2009-09-22 by trifonius24

Hi all,

I am new to MIDI programming in general and programming my BCF2000.

Can someone please help me out on the following:

I am using Cubase SL3 with some VST instruments (Stylus RMX) and effects (free ones like Blockfish and some bought ones like PSP Vintage Warmer).
Currently I am using the Mackie emulation mode and this is OK for Cubase. For the VST plugins it's not that great. I installed a trial version of MIdevice but I really didn't understand how to set it up and use it.

Here are my questions:

- How can I use my BCF to control my VST plugins? Is there a step by step guidance available for using BC Manager to set this up?
- Can I use BC Manager to control my plugins in the same session as the Mackie mode for Cubase?

Thanks a lot in advance and best regards.
