Alright, so I've identified the EEPROM, SST39SF040, and I've got the datasheet for it. Tho it seems I have to manage 16 address pins and 8 data pins to dump the data, that's going to be pretty difficult without an eeprom reader! Any thoughts? /m On 6 Jan 2010, at 12:59, Martin Klang wrote: > > Still looking? > > I'm about to open up my BCR2000 to see if I can fix it - > it stops sending midi after being switched on for a few minutes. > > How do I dump the EEPROM contents? > I've got an arduino, zif sockets, and other bits and pieces so if it's an I2C eeprom I should be able to read it. > What type of chip is it and how do I identify it? > > cheers, > > /m > > On 3 Jan 2010, at 00:41, bjonnh wrote: > >> I just erased the eeprom of my BCR2000. >> >> I'm working on a way to do a custom made firmware for those boxes. >> >> So if someone want's to contribute for it, i'm looking for: >> >> >> 1 ) A dead unit (or only the EEPROM) >> >> and/or >> >> 2) A dump of the EEPROM of a working unit. >> >> >> >> Thanks for your help. >> > > > > ------------------------------------ > > Yahoo!
