Re: BCF2000 newbie questions > FCB1010--->Axe-FX--->BCF2000(MIDI A)--->FCB1010(using merge) I can't understand this connection. If a Midi message is transmitted from any gear it would go around and around FCB->Axe->BCF->FCB(merge)->Axe->BCF->FCB(merge) etc > > The PC should be able to communicate to the Axe-FX through the USB of the BCF2000. > > The Axe needs to be able to communicate back to the PC through the BCF2000. Take the FCBout of the equation Try just Mode U4 with just the PC, the BCF and the Axe connected PCout->BCF USBin->BCFMidiAout->Axe Axe->BCF Midiin->BCF USB out->PCin Although it looks like a loop it isn't because PCin is not connected to PCout ie the PC sends some Midi and it ends up at the Axe. The Axe sends midi and it ends up at the PC. If you move a fader the BCF could send a message to the Axe > I did manage to get the MIDI-OX port mapping to work while in USB mode so that I can control the Axe-FX while in USB mode, but that isn't a huge deal. I can work in standalone that way. So the USB is working, then it just sounds like you are not connected correctly. Getting closer? Royce
