1) get the Roland manual and look at the sysex at the end to see what parameter messages it can receive.
2) decide from these parameters what you want to control and what the layout on the BC should be.

There is a PC editor for the JX8p here

that might give you some inspiration.

3) Get Mark's editor and create a preset for the synth.

Perhaps you should download some other presets from the file area to see what they look like.

4) Ask questions here about specific problems. Be very specific about what Midi message you are trying to send.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
