For several years there was a "basic" Wikipedia page about the BCR2000, but abt. 2 years ago some (over)zealous editors scrapped it ("Wikipedia is not a product catalog"). When that happened I thought "oh well, fair enough, we've still got the wiki at pingdynasty".
THEN (perhaps a year ago) Kip's "old" GenMce site at 110mb.com about the BCR2000 went down. (I'm not sure if it is still down.)
So in this light I think it would be a shame if the wiki at pingdynasty were to go down permanently as well.
I've found that there are quite a few people who contact me about BC Manager directly via my own web site (rather than via the Yahoo group): apparently for some people it's a rather "big" step to become a registered member of the Yahoo group.
So I think it's nice to have a free-access portal with general info, pointers to the relevant BCF/BCR web sites, etc.
Pingdynasty has probably saved me from having to answer quite a few questions personally, so I've always been very grateful that pingdynasty existed.
I can't judge the amount of people actually visiting (or contributing to) pingdynasty (but at least Steve H did!), but I would definitely vote for the reinstatement of pingdynasty.
But of course I could understand it if you decide not to because of the amount of work involved.
Thanks very much anyway for setting up and maintaining the pingdynasty wiki in the first place!
