I’ve been following this thread and wanted to know which files you are referring for download? This file here works: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bc2000/files/Presets/Abeton%20Live%20Mackie%20Presets/ Well, I say it works... everything works so far except control of device parameters, but I'm still fiddling with it. Just follow the instructions on the PDF. More importantly... and this is important for the other guy who was following the thread. The Ableton remote script/template also works... but forget making the Dump from Ableton.. it sends the data too fast which is why many people receive the Er22 error message. Use Midiox to send: 1. In MidiOx, Go to 'Select Midi Devices to Open' > Select BCR (check data flow by twiddling a knob.. data stream should show in the Monitor Window. 2. View > SysEx 3. Command Window > Load File (C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 9 Suite\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts\BCR2000) 4. Enjoy the LED show at a much slower pace than Abelton's Dump. Store Preset on the BCR. Select top right Encoder Group (1st of 4) Click on the 1st of top row keys/buttons > this will take you to Bank 1 of functions... Hit Key/button #2, this will take you to next bank (On the Analaog this would filters) and so on... One thing I'm not sure of with this preset, is there a function to jump to the next Device on a track (selecting the device with that little blue hand) without using a mouse? Does anyone reading this know? I think Abletons script saved as preset 1 to give you control of Devices, in combination with Kip's preset for all other functions(I posted at the top) saved to preset 2 could give you all the control you need, without the few days of headaches I've just gone through. Potentially anyway... for me, anything involving midi has a habit of failing for inexplicable reasons and without warning. Cheers for everyone's help... this group still has some life! The BCR is sending data because ableton does respond on some random parameters (although in no logical sense that I've figured out yet) but not responding according to the way Mappings are set-up with the Ablton template (I checked the 'Control Surface Reference' help file in Ableton) > > For example, I go to the ableton Device 'Analog', select Bank 1 on the BCR and move the top encoders, but Analog doesn't respond... same if I select Bank 2 which should move the 'Analog's' filters... but it doesn't respond. I've done this already and the lights on the BCR spin around like you would expect, but then at the last moment I get an Er22 error message.. So I presume the dump failed?? I've tried 2 usb cables and 2 different usb ports on my computer - same thing. > > Any ideas? > > Question 2: I do have BC Manager, but shouldn't the BCR be able to work 'straight outta the box' with Abelton's included script/template? > > Thanks for any words of wisdom you can throw my way.
