It's working fine with Bome's MIDI Translator. It's not the cheapest solution, though.
When I catch some free time, I'll try to do at least some controlling with BCR without extra converter. It might be a bit ridiculous. We'll see.
I agree with you. The format is complete nonsense.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
