Just thought I would let you know what worked best for me.  I had a M Audio Midi Sport  that merged a the two outs from the two BCF’s in S4 mode. Main BCF was set in U4 mode. All works like a charm !!

I should mention that the BC units automatically merge the input data with whatever control changes happens on the unit and output this data via the Midi ports in Solo-1 mode and to the computer in USB-4 mode.

 

This means you can have as many units as your bank manager will allow, all in e S-1 mode with the last in USB-4 mode.
