I had no global mode. I "</>"'d to a different preset, hit store, and saved it. After this, Global Edit mode returned.
Weirdly, I had also been messing with DW8000 editing. However, I *just can't remember* if I was doing on my BCF or my BCR.
I an added complication, as well. My BCF is missing the first three push encoders, and I had to make my mode adjustments by sticking a "tool" in the hole to turn it *facepalm*. Worked, though.
