glad you sorted out the problem.
As far as the 'Quick Edit' parameters I can only comment on the TQ5 4op synth.
There is not much of a Midi specification in the DX11 manual, but you can operate the Yamaha TQ5 buttons remotely from the BCR. Perhaps you can on the DX11 as well.
On the TQ5 there is EG, TONE, LFO, NAME and EFFECT in the EASY EDIT area selected by the buttons on the left hand side.
Once something is selected, (like EG - envelope generator) the screen fills with that page's parameters (EG has has Attack, Decay and Release and a Mode select) These can be changed by the buttons under the display.
So to increment using an encoder you would send out a select for the EG button a Sysex message for the Easy Edit button, then a +button message for the parameter. For decrementing you send the same thing but the -button instead.
A better way might be to use the top row of encoders and use their integrated push button to select the Easy Edit type and just use the forward and backward encoder function to pulse the particular TQ5 (DX11?) button.
I couldn't find a detailed Sysex spec on the web, so perhaps you might like to have a look at my BCR to TQ5 editor to see if it is also a BCR to DX11 editor.
I would love to know if it does anything on the DX11
All the best
