When you say nothing seems strange - have to looked at how the USB socket is on the PCB? Check your cable if all is OK with the socket.

My second hand BCF2000 is starting to be a hassle turning on. it 'seems'; to be connected to the USB port. When I wriggle the USB cable (or prop it up with a screwdrive/bit of tape to get the angle right) it will power on.

I opened it up, and eveything looks fine. i was thinking to resolder the USB port or something, but nothing seemed strange. but it is really annoying. i'm touring next week, and last rehearsal it took 40 minutes to turn it on.

i can usb MIDI so i don't have to worry about the USB bumping it on/off - but surely there is a solution. because the encoders and really slow i've been using a ULS electrolube to clean them, which may be an issue?
