Hi Jonathan, I would very much like to know everyone's answer to your question. What I have found is that it doesn't allow mapping to set up the knobs for what I want them to control but they all control set parameters it seems, it could be the amount of gain and points on the EQ Eight or the amount of reverb in a send track, it seems to be a matter of tweaking the knobs and then finding what is changing in ableton lol I hope someone else has a more specific approach on how to use it in a more meaningful way. I’ve searched through the group and found a lot of interesting posts, but no straight forward “here is how to get a BCF working out of the box with Ableton Live 9”. That’s what I’m seeking. I just picked up a BCF second hand and am excited at the potential applications in Live, but unfortunately out of the gate it didn’t do anything. I set it up like I would any other controller and as far as I could tell everything was correct, but it would not respond to Live and wouldn’t transmit to it either. After a few hours of fiddling with it, it suddenly “woke up” and snapped to attention - I really don’t know why. Now it does respond to Live and transmits as well, but I have no idea what any of the buttons do since there is no chart or guide! Even the manual doesn’t say, unless you are using a 3rd party emulation mode. I was hoping/expecting that it would work with Live straight out of the box, since the Behringer product page specifically mentions Ableton alongside Cubase and Logic. So first, does the BCF actually work natively without having to use HUI or Cubase emulation? Second, what do all the buttons actually do in BC mode? Additionally I’m looking at the Isotonik BCF control script as a possible answer to what I’m after, since it appears to add a whole lot of extra functionality such as the Red Ring and more. At the moment I can’t figure out how to access anything more than the first 8 tracks but when I do, that would be a very nice feature indeed. Appreciate any insights… thanks! Oh P.S. how do I actually log into the group so I can access the files section? My email address is not connected to Yahoo, I haven’t used a Yahoo address in probably going on 15 years. Do I get a login/password somehow? ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ Yahoo Groups Links
