HI Nick,
my guess is that it is the way the encoders and buttons have been programmed.
If you program 2 encoders with the same parameter (say CC7 on channel 1) then they will stay in sync.
This is deliberate as it allows the BC to respond to, say CC7, messages coming from a DAW or synth to stay in sync - called "feedback".

Go to edit mode - push and hold EDIT - and turn an encoder in the 4th row that causes the other encoders to change.
Check by 'just' moving encoder 1 (top row, left) and it will probable show that it is set for CC messages.
similarly for Encoder
2 - channel
3 - data 1 (if it was 7 then it sends CC7 volume messages)

If there are any other encoders with these 3 settings they will stay in sync.

Just change the data 1 value to a different number and it should stop 'ghosting'

I hope you folks here don't mind if I give a plug for Mark's forum.
I don't think he comes here very often and I don't come here all that often either, so you can more easily find us both there - I even have my own forum page to chat about my software.
See you there.

All the best
Royce
