As you say, I am intending to use them for entirely different functions, so your reply makes perfect sense. I apologize if I came off as whiny, and thanks a million! What I have is an Echo Gina 3g, plenty of ins/outs, and I have also wondered if the BCF shouldn't go straight into it instead of USB. But now I'm a lot clearer (I think) on the fact that B-Controls aren't about controlling through my MIDI interface, but controlling my software directly. Am I near the mark? best, Mike. PS the controller pedal is in the BCF controller jack - I don't have the BCR yet and understood there are only switch jacks on it. I have tried to get the pedal to control a VST effect thru the BCF but no luck yet - I think I just haven't got things communicating properly yet.
