I have since found many references to XP recognising the BCR as 'USB 
Audio Device'

I initialy thought this was an error because Live (or Reason for that 
matter) will not converse with the BCR. Now I know that being listed 
as 'USB Audio Device' is all ok it still does not answer why it will 
not work?

Global is set to U-1. All midi settings in live as they should be but 
will not communicate, at all (on any preset).

Have sys-ex-ed tha factory presets using midi-ox, still not working.

All started goin pete tong when tried to instal MCU. Since then 
nothing has worked and Live has even stated to crash when I'm in the 
midi section of preferecnes. Live has NEVER crashed before.

Anyone have an idea of what to do as I've read all thats in the 
manuals several times.

I will add that I had also installed a BCR driver from the Behringer 
site at about the same time as I tried to set up the MCU, anyone 
found the BCR drivers cause a problem?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
