hey everyone. another question that may be stupidly simple.

ok kids my friend hooked me up with reaktor 5
why? cuz hes trying to get me more into software... Ill admit i have a
disdain for software cuz it seems really effing convoluted in all
aspects. give me outboard equipment anyday. ok that aside. i usually
use my bcr as a controller for my evolver, and some rack effects via
midi. that stuff to me is simple..
now im having an impossible time trying to get this thing to work with
reaktor. i can assign midi notes to the buttons and get synth sounds
to work. but i cannot for the life of me get any knobs to work to
tweak parameters in anything. its connected usb so... what the hell
should i do? it seems that this controller isnt really good at
controlling much of what i use in the DAW land. but hey its behringer
right... you get what you pay for;)

You can use the midi learn function in Reaktor 5, just click the icon
that looks like a midi plug with an L inside.
Or for any knob/button/slider/widget you want to control, open up the
properties and edit the midi settings in the far right tab - cc/at/
note and midi routing can be set manually there.
Or, if you want to go low-level, set up midi receivers and senders in
your ensemble. You can capture and send any midi event you want, and
prolly a good few you don't.

have fun,

/m

i figured out how to assign manually but i still cant get the learn
function to work at all.
ive tried it the behringer way by clicking learn on the bcr assigning
a knob and tweaking the knob in the program. no go like that.
and ive also clicked the learn in the reaktor program and twiddled a
knob on my bcr and nothing there either.
if im doing it the last way described should i have a CC number
asigned to a knob before trying it? or what? it seems theres a grey
area there i cant quite get to work.

thanks for the help
