Organising The Files area

Organising The Files area

2008-04-19 by rpcfender

Hi all
I don't know about you, but I am finding it a bit hard to find my way
around the files area.

I have created an 'Applications' folder, a 'Preset' folder and a
'Documentation' folder and I have started moving my stuff into them -
still quite a bit more to move though.

I'm not sure every one would agree with me about this and as moving
someone's files myself would restamp rpcfender all over it I'm not too
keen on doing it .

Sooo, if you think it is a good idea, could you spend a few minutes
shifting the files that you loaded to the new folders.

Am I sounding like your mum yet?

Sorry

Royce

I've moved both of my MCU Emulation files into "Presets" and
eliminated the old folder.

Right you are about the housekeeping. Just looked around and I have a
few things, from our panic that Behr was dumping ther docs, etc. I
can't spend any time on it just now but I'll try to sort my docs, too.
If anyone with privileges is motivated to move them first, feel free.

I don't want to harp on about the wiki, but wouldn't it be a lot nicer
to have the files accessible and organised there?

I haven't the time to add and organise all files myself, but if
everyone who owns or uses files in the file area could make them
available in its logical place on the wiki then we'd quickly have it
all set up.

One obvious advantage is that the files are much more readily
available, you don't have to join the list to access them.
Do let me know if you think there are reasons for not using the wiki
for this sort of thing.

/m

I would indeed like BC Manager to be published there, but only once
I'm certain that the Donate button system works, so please don't put
it there until I give the go-ahead.

Something similar goes for the MIDI implementation document. I've seen
that you (or someone else) has put a reference to it on the Wiki site,
which is fine with me. However, I've nearly finished a new version; so
when it's ready I'll think about putting it on the Wiki site directly.

Mark.
