BC Manager 1.2.1 available now

2008-05-11 by Mark van den Berg

Hi folks,

BC Manager 1.2.1 is now available from the file section under
Applications.

By popular request, you can now record MIDI messages into LEARN/custom
output directly from the preset and element dialog boxes.
There are also quite a few improvements to the user interface.
See the accompanying manual for details.

Just read some posts about BC Manager

2000 hours (Two THOUSAND Hours)!!!! And you've both written a manual and done several updates since then - Wow!!!

I don't think Thank You! is nearly enough for all your effort!!!!

Not only have you given us a tool that let's us make life much easier (in some cases, makes it all possible), but you have done a beautiful job of it, and done it for free. I think you should send a big big big fat bill to Behringer for your efforts and that all of us should mail bomb them until they pay you. I mean, they sure made enough off of all of us, and then they just gave us some half assed support and software. What BS!!! Therefore, they should be happy to pay you for your efforts (which they won't be - Greedy Bastards!). It's sure better than anything they have given us, and i'm sure it would cost them less than whatever they paid for the original junk software they put up on their web site. And hell, you didn't even have their "Top Secret" (for whatever reason) coding.

So i send you a great big THANK YOU!!
and
THANK YOU!!!
THANK YOU!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!

For all your effort, knowing full well that it is not enough. Nonetheless, i am grateful for your effort and your generosity Mark!

Peace,
Kevin

Now we're cooking with gas -- I can send snapshots from my Keystation
88 and record them to a button. In the last 20 minutes I programmed 8
presets for one of my "synth" models (combines a simple
single-operator FM synth with PWM acting on a sine wave). I set up a
loopback in Midi Ox so that pressing the "preset" button sends the
controller change data back to the BCR, so knob and button positions
are updated when you switch "presets".

I also tried to record the BCR's settings from the parameter edit
page, but alas you can't get to "receive snapshot" from the recording
dialogue. Aside from the fact that the BCR could send more data than
it could store in a single button, are there any reasons why that
couldn't work? Not a big thing (since I can copy and paste from the
"receive snapshot" page and accomplish the same thing), but it'd be
nice for workflow purposes.

Thanks again for your efforts!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
