bcf to yamaha 01v96

2008-06-18 by Alessandro

hi,
I'd command panning with the bcf but I probably lost a step in the
various explanations.
the 01v96 pan data string is:
left side $F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $7F $7F $7F $41 $F7
center $F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $F7
right side$F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $3F $F7
 then
$encoder 1
  .showvalue on
  .mode 12dot
  .resolution 96 96 96 96
  .default 0
  .minmax 0 127
  .tx $F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $7F $7F $7F val $F7
and the pan work just half portion of course.
i
I've tray to change the variable but nothing.
where i mistake
i hope someone can explain
all the best
Alessandro

Hey - will attempt to give back here.
I think your .tx line should be.

.tx $F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 val12.13 val8.11 val4.7 val0.3 $F7

with the val commands listed above.

Try it.

HI Kip,

 the strings

.tx $F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 val12.13 val8.11 val4.7 val0.3 $F7

work just from center to rigth side.
Please can you explain the string data? whay many different"valxx"?.
tks

Alessandro

$F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $7F $7F $7F $41 $F7
$F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $F7
$F0 $43 $10 $3E $7F $01 $1B $00 $00 $00 $00 $00 $3F $F7
Header ---------------------------- Data ----------
------------------------------------------------or checksum? (but it
couldn't be as the second and third lines are the same except fot the
checksum? byte)

Are you sure this is correct?
It looks very weird for a pan control.
How is it defined in the sysex specification?
