BCF2000 Questions in Cubase 4

Hi, I'm just getting to grips with using the BCF2000 in Mackie Emulation Mode in Cubase 4 but have a few queries; 1) The solo button doesn't seem to stay on. I'm aware that by pushing the top encoder it facilitates the solo function. The S in cubase highlights red but won't stay on. The same can be said for write - the W comes on but won't stay and view - the channel display will pop up but then goes again. I've tried all manner of button pushing. 2) I know how to edit VSTI & FX parameters with the BCF but how do you bring up the actual VSTI or FX plug in with the BCF? 3) When assigning midi learn parameters to the BCF via the Learn button I can only get value up to about half way and generally the rotary knobs work the opposite way around? When actually going into VSTI's or FX the usual way via insert/ send or Instr they work fine it's just in Learn. 4) I'm also running stylus rmx, I have their BCF template but how do import that data into the BCF using Mackie Emulation Mode? I've briefly played with MidiOx but couldn't really get my head around it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've read the manual (although not very clear) and searched other sites online for answers. Many Thanks David
