HELP - BCR2000 TIMING OUT

2008-11-24 by djeinstin

I purchased the BCR2000 about 6 months ago. It worked fine with
controlling ableton live and fruityloops. But now everytime i connect
to use it on the programs it works for 1 min than it stops controlling
my learned controls please help... i reinstalled all the possible
drivers and even flashed the bcr to the latest firmware upgrade.

Are you using a USB connection/operation mode ("U-1" etc.), and does
the BCR stop sending ANY MIDI data via USB to the computer after a
minute or so? If the answer to both questions is yes, the USB
controller on the BCR itself may be faulty, in which case you need to
contact your dealer and get a replacement BCR. Several people in this
group (including me!) have had this problem - see the message archive
of this group for further discussion.

On the other hand, it might be something else entirely. To exclude the
USB controller problem mentioned above, you might try using a MIDI
connection/operation mode ("S-1" etc.): if the problem then persists,
you at least know it was NOT the USB controller.

Hope this helps a bit,
Mark.
