Hi all. In an effort to facilitate efficient communications between people using the same gear, I'm requesting that everyone here using a BCF 2000 with Cubase SX please reply to this message. Hopefully we'll soon have a single thread for all relevant issues, which will make it much easier for us to communicate (and not burden those using other setups). In pursuit of Mutual Higher Advantage ... Sincerely, Vincent F. Evans.

I am using the BCF 2000 with Cubase SX successfully, aside from the "preset change, fader position reset" problem which is created by design flaws in Cubase SX and the BCF and which therefore can't be fixed by users (although maybe it can be fixed using a program such as QuicKeys).----- Original Message -----From: omniviousSent: Thursday, July 20, 2006 12:38 PMSubject: [bc2000] BCF2000 and Cubase SX: Other users please identify yourselves by replyingHi all.

gday, i'm using the bcr2000 with cubase sx2, successfully, but not very intuitively. i'm using it with cubase's generic remote - mainly as control for the cubase sx2 vst mixer, and also for parameters of VSTs on the BCR itself, i leave it on the default preset; and then to change what i am controlling i change the generic remote's bank i can't help feeling that there's a better way i can be doing this though. i can control the vst 'z3ta' with it if i switch the generic remote's bank to "z3ta" , cool, but then if i load a second z3ta , i can't control it, unless i remake the z3ta bank which would take ages how are you guys actually using this thing?

hey, i also use it in generic remote, but also as a normal controller, as you also discribed. i think there is no other way than the way you go. you have to assign the number to the controller, anyway i am also not very into it, and had not asssign all the vst, efx i use really often. i am a bit confused about the settings i have to make on the 6 pushencoders, if i want to make a preset on my own ;-) mackie emulation mode so far i know, it can be used with reason and also live ableton, in reason it is automatically asssigned to all instruments, mixer, efx ;-) it is either bcf or bcr ;-) very nice using reason. cheers folks :-)
