Bcmanager?

Bcmanager?

2009-03-13 by billxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Does this program exist?

I spent an hour or so chasing dead links after this program was recommended to me.
I figured it might be in the 'files' area of this group, so joined up.
The links here are dead too.

I don't have the BCF or BCR yet, because I wanted to check out the program first.

Could someone who has this program possibly PM it to me? Thanks in advance.

I think older versions are still available in our files section, but the latest is on the author's site. The URL I have for it is http://mntn-utils.110mb.com but I just tried and the site timed out.

Mark, what's the URL for your site?

Jeff

'BC Manager is no longer available here.
Please visit http://mntn-utils.110mb.com instead.'

^^^^^^This is the message I get when I click on the url in the 'files' section.

When I copy/paste http://mntn-utils.110mb.com into my browser, it returns a dead link.

I don't have a BCR yet, but I'm curious to see what the program is about.
Thanks for the response, Jeff.

BCMan 1.5 was/is in the files section, though the author may have removed it (BCMan 2 is the latest). Mark (the author) is really good about responding, but he's in the Netherlands so there may take a few hours for him to see the messages and respond back.

I can't access it either right now. The problem must lie with the 110mb.com server, which apparently goes down sometimes. It happened about a week ago as well, but the next day everything was fine again. Sorry about the inconvenience.

Mark.

An addendum to my previous reply:

I've checked the 110mb.com community/support site: the problem indeed lies with the hosting site: it's currently down because of an attack by some very naughty hackers.

In a sense I'm relieved that the fault doesn't lie with my site as such - but of course that's little comfort... We'll just have to wait until they've sorted things out.

Apparently the 110mb.com administrators have fixed the hacking attack problem:
The BC Manager download site at http://mntn-utils.110mb.com is now accessible again - at least it was a minute ago when I tried!
So let's hope it stays that way...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
